Subject: Kicking myself for not making it!
It has been almost a year since the 2006 vibes and I am still kicking myself for drinking too much and sleeping too little the night before. I missed the TLG show due to lack of sleep and too much guiness. As I listen to the show now I will make it a point to catch them before the summer is over! I hope everyone enjoyed it!

Subject: Why teaching rules
i think katie hit the nail on the head. why more people aren't into tea leaf is beyond me. i've got a buddy (big time into the disco biscuits - not to diss them though) who says their songs are too "predictable". That's called song writing folks and it's harder than just jammin for 23 minutes. i don't think he's ever really heard them either, he just memorized a review and used it as his opinion. to put these songs, lyrics, and jams together in just the right way to create what santana calls "musical orgasms" takes more than just musical talent. it takes a poetic soul and creative fortitude. trevor, josh, milky and scott serve this up with gravy. a note for katie cuz she's still young. go to school to become a teacher. you make great $, get to inspire young minds, create the next generation of scientist, and oh yeah, you get the whole fucking summer off to see music festivals like the vibes, high sierra, mtn. jam and i use my sick days to go to jazz fest (what could be more sick than jazz fest).

rock on music lovers!

man does this rock! i see alot of folks give these guys high marks and now after listening to them i can see why. these grooves are so focused that it sounds more composed than improv but at the same time, you can tell that alot of this stuff is off the cuff and away we go.
i'll be back for more.

This show was excellent, and was a good way to end the nice weather portion of the vibes.

Subject: A gift more amazing than words can say
The gathering of the vibes of 2006 was my first festival...Tea Leaf Green played and it was the first time I'd ever heard them. I just want to start with a thank you to the band...if it was not for your unlimited talent and most beautiful rythm the vibes wouldnt have been as amazing as it was for me. I know it sounds crazy but it hearing your music was a life altering event for me. I wish I could give you more than a thank you...I would hand you my heart and soul in the palm of my hand if I could. Your music did something to me that I can never describe into words with someone unless they are on that same communion level. I walked down to your show not knowing how to move at all....and when I left the festival I became a beautiful dancer. Your music opened up something inside me that gave me a greater high than anything else I could ever be offered. You made my stomach feel like an ever burning orb of beauty inside. This music and the sub psychic level of the people at this festival made me realize how beautiful life is. Just knowing there is something that amazing out there to look forward to when you save up the money is worth having a huge smile on your face every minute of every day. I mean im only 18, but when i was younger than 18 I was always in search of this eternal happiness....and I have now found it, and Tea Leaf Green you provided this youthful smile on my face that I parade around everyday. Thank you for giving me this gift of life...because nothing is this precious...
For everyone that was not at the vibes...the only words I can tell you is that language restricts the true meaning of this music...basically you definatly have to be there to feel the best emotion that your body could ever produce...and that is the love for music:)
Peace Love and Happiness To all....and for me...we definatly cannot forget the butterflies;).

I am going to try my best to make it to everyshow that I can..Im trying my hardest to make it out to California, I have put so much work into figuring this out...it doesn't seem like its weighing my way but I will not give up:) like I say that world and music is one gigantic orbit of hope:)
Always and forever
Katie

Tea Leaf was the last set on friday and they rocked the stage! The LA Woman version was spectacular!! The crowd was rippin'! You can hear all the people singing along on LA Woman "SOO ALONE!!" lol

Can't say enough about this show! As for the taper man I feel real bad about someone falling on your stuff! Hope that nothing was broke!!

peace.
